:: there was a fire drill an hour ago. it didn't bother me, i went to my usual routine at work. some officemates went down but a few stayed, and that includes me. that's why i'm blogging right now!

:: i was actually about to get down when felice tagged me. when i was on the stairs, i realized i left my wallet (with cash intended for credit card payment). so i went back.

:: looking forward to the bisita iglesia this monday. this is my first time, i hope the weather's good by then.

- woke up to lola's voice, then went back to sleep again. slumbered for another 10 minutes then got up and hurriedly hit the bathroom.

- lots actually -- holy week rest, wedding, baptism, and photoshoots

- my voice. i sound like inday garutay. got this from severe colds. i'm still recovering.

- movie in the movie house - happy feet (don't smirk, no boyfriend nowadays, so no movies lately), movie from other sources - the notebook (watched it 2 times in a row)

- no, i don't. i don't think i'm going to last a relationship with someone i seldom see.

- hhmm. bathroom? (am at work now as i fill this)

- the reception here at work. jane asked to me to check an hr personnel if she came for work today.

- yes!

- i think so

- beauty. yeah, i know, vain na kung vain. love will (eventually) follow if i have it, and if i'm loved and in love!, creativity goes in.

- yes, i still do. when i was young, i'd look for the first brightest star on the sky, then whisper a wish.

- i think it does

- no hard crying these days. but i think i cried a little when i remembered lolo's unending love for lola (still have the hangover from lola's bday party) - lolo died on march 23, lola's birthday is on march 22. though bedridden, and too weak from his illness (he died of cancer of the throat), he managed to whisper to lola happy birthday. the next day, he died. even on his last breath, it was still lola. while thinking of that thought, some tears flowed. i wish i could find someone like that.

- jane's empty seat, she's on leave and will come back for work on may. she has had a blighted pregnancy so the ovum needs to be removed from her (this one's called raspa, i think). i feel sad for her that this has happened.

- yeps, and i always get a terrible ugly looking eye bags the following morning

Had Lola's 75th (surprise) birthday party last Saturday. Will try to post more soon.

busy weekend ahead. a surprise dinner party this saturday for lola and a possible photoshoot on sunday. right now, i'm starting to lose my voice out of severe colds. maybe this is God's way of shutting me up, as if i could hear Him say "anak, you talk too much kasi"

april activities are piling up. there's the bisita iglesia on pampanga, 2 trips to the province with nanay, Sam's baptism, Sam's pictorial (for her baptism photo album), Cea's wedding (and my pending gift still not half way through), company outing, the photos i promised to Madel for her scrapbook project...

Last Friday, Van paid me a surprise visit at my work. Backtrack: I was trying to contact this friend of mine since last year, just to check her out. No response, no returned call. That's why I was really surprised to see her that afternoon. I asked what she has been upto these days. She pulled out her cell phone and showed me a photo of a baby. Then she told me that she already has a baby! Goodness. You don't vanish for a long time and appear in an instant saying you have a baby! Naloka ako. And Van wants me to be ninang to Sam. Anyway, I told her I'd visit her on Sunday to see baby Sam (full name is Samantha Joey). More to come. I can't get a good shot out of this little one, malikot, mailap, so I just settled with her piggies.

Ballet shoot at Canossa, Sta. Rosa

Weeks ago, Ate Jing (her family owns a ballet school in our neighborhood, same ballet school enrolled in during my younger years) asked me if I could photograph their ballet students in Canossa, Sta. Rosa. I gladly said yes. I didn't have any problem since it was an outdoor shoot.

It has been 10 years since I last saw Canossa. I was stunned to see all the changes! There's the auditorium, the gym, the grade school building (our campus was exclusively for high school only during my time), the ballet studio and a lot more!

I'm not posting the actual posed shots since they will be 'printed' for the recital.

This shot was taken last Sunday at Shakey's Pacita, while waiting for our food. Used the 50mm lens set at f1.4, available light was the light bulb hanging above, flash fired, thus the effect on her eyes.

:: forgot to **'refil' my wallet with money for food and gas/toll allowance
:: good thing I brought packed lunch, so I didn't worry about getting starved
:: along with the packed lunch was a can of pik-nik, the largest one (255 grams)
:: Janin gave the team pasalubongs from bohol - yummy peanut cookies shaped like kisses, thus saving me again from my cravings for sweets
:: later in the afternoon, Twishy treated me and Wil to her favorite fruit shake stand, I had mango shake
:: went to Shangri-la Mall to see hi-school friends after work, saw Mommy Greysi first with Gagay and the BF, Jubel followed shortly
:: another treat! Mommy Greysi treated us to Starbucks, I had Chocolate Chip shake
:: the best treat of all, laughing with the girls 'till our lungs explode!
:: went home with Nanay who was waiting for me at the carpark of Megamall

** I refill my wallet on a weekly basis for food and gas allowance. Yesterday, I forgot to refill it so I only had 90 pesos in it, plus some few coins.

** update on the previous post: My photo entry has had some technical issues, thus getting disqualified in the process, though it actually passed through the finals. Anyway, getting my photo lifted from hundreds of entries is good enough for me.

On last days of the month, payday to be exact, I sort out my credit card receipts for proper tracking of my expenses (the statement of account should tally with the total amount found in the receipts), then I separate the amount to paid.

So yesterday, being payday and the last day of the month, I went to this routine. Trisha was sitting beside me and she's counting money for her savings. Imagine my messy workplace piled up with money (yeah, lotsa lotsa.. hahha!), credit card billing and receipts.

While I was sorting out receipts (I pile them by dates in ascending order), I was stuck with one - a receipt that shows that I bought an item from SM Makati that has an amount of P999. It was dated February 16, Friday. Next to it was another receipt, having the same date, and the same amount, but it was bought at Glorietta. In short, I bought two items on Friday night with the same amount. Then I remembered that the one bought at Glorietta was a dress from YRYS. But I couldn't remember the item from SM Makati. I was thinking if those were toiletries, but if those were, why have the exact amount of 999. It should be a single item, like another dress perhaps. I was at wit's end, and on the verge of banging my head on the wall.

I tried hard to remember what it was, but I couldn't. I even told Trish

"Trish, baka nabiktima ako that day, baka na-hipnotize ako.. shyet"

When I was about to go home, I dropped by at Sandra's place to say good-bye. Then I told her about my dilemma. She smiled and she pointed the bakya I'm wearing. Goodness! I failed to remember that I bought a happy feet that night. And how did she knew that it was the object of my confusion? There was an instance in the past where another officemate, RM, was asking Sandra how much a happy feet costs. I told Sandra that it doesn't cost over a thousand. And she replied "so, mga 999 pesos yun?"

This scares me. Nowadays, I easily forget things. Not the type that one would describe as the nasa-dulo-na-ng-dila. Mine is plain and simple - I.DO.NOT.REMEMBER.ANYTHING! It's as if a part of my memory has been sucked out, leaving a void in my head.

Memory gap? Maybe I should start taking vitamins for this.
