To my dearest Jaene, salamat! I'm really touched by the kindness, you even drew Louraine's caricature below her name. I miss you sooo much!

To you, yes you! You know who you are! Super dooper thank you! You shouldn't have bothered, really. But who am I to refuse such kindness, specially if there's chocolate involved. I love the lotion, it makes me smell yummy. The lipstick is great too! It looks so natural on my pretty pouty lips. And the Loreal palet, I think it's really made for me. I love the colors! The mascara is still unopened, I'm saving it for a special occasion

To our beloved Tito Jun, Tita Leby and Ate Nina, maraming maraming salamat po for all the goodies! After getting home from the airport, we were so excited that we immediately opened the balikbayan boxes, even if it's already 3 in the morning. All the goodies inside are still cool, as if they came straight from the fridge. Amoy amerika =). Super dooper thank you!

My mommies are back! Nanay and Lola that is. I feel happy, but sad at the same time. Happy since I soooo miss these two ladies of the house sooo much, and finally, we're together again. Not to mention the abundant pasalubongs. Things will get less messed up around the house this time. Sad, for I know that my sister is left mommy-less on the other side of world. She's staying with our dear Tita , whose as equally loving and caring as our mommies. But still, either Nanay's or Lola's presence is greatly needed, especially now that she's gearing up for the State boards. My heart was breaking into pieces when Nanay described how she was crying before they left. Nakakadurog daw talaga ng puso. If only I had the money, I'd fly to her straight away. But in the meantime, phone calls and YM's would do.

I started out this blog with only one motive - - to have something to look back to; to remind me of who I was, to reminisce the places I've been, people I've spent time with, how I dealt with situations, how stupid or how brilliant I was. Now, in order to do this, I need to elaborate on my posts, add greater details - - throw lots of adjectives. I need to feel what I felt way back, shiver if it was cold, get angry if a new kontrabida has emerged, feel delighted and excited over something romantic or anything that made my heart leaped. I need to feel it all over again when I read my past. Posting photos is a great help, but it doesn't need to stop there. I need to define, specify particulars.

For a start, I know what I need to do.. kailangan ko na labanan ang katamaran sa pagsusulat.

RM wanted to tour JP around, so she invited me, together with Jovi (my good friend from work, but she has resigned already) and Sael (Jovi's loving hubby) to take a trip to Tagaytay. We went to the mini zoo first, had lunch at Josephine (yummy treat! you should try it!), went fruit shopping and had meryenda at my house.

As mentioned, here are the photos from our Wednesday getaway.

Lazy Sunday

Sunday, March 19, 2006

I woke up at almost 11 in the morning, since I slept at past midnight last night. Partly frustrated, since my mind was already set to attending a bodypainting event this Sunday. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to some unforeseen issues. A few days back, I was invited by Elsie, my co-worker, to Puerto Galera this weekend, all expense paid! Elsie is the only girl in her team, so her boss agreed to let her have another girl companion, and I was the lucky girl! Sadly, I had to turn it down, since I have already committed myself to Maki's Party weeks ago. The next invitation was from RM, she wanted a chaperon to JP's birthday party.

When it rains, it pours.

This made me look back on my very erratic life a few months ago, where squeezing events requires me to either stay up for more than 24 hours, or take a leave from work. More often than not, I end up with the former.

Now that my schedule is the same with most normal people, I can freely engage with weekend commitments, meet my friends-with-normal-skeds after work for coffee, sleep late on Friday nights, and wake up late on weekends, Sunday afternoons doing nothing, which is exactly the way I spent this day.

And speaking of Sundays, I have practically spent the whole day sitting in front of the tv, only getting up for the toilet. I ate lunch and meryenda and surfed the internet in front of the tv. I chanced upon the trailer of Sandara's new movie entitled 'The Luky Ones', coined after Lucky, Ate Vi's eldest as we all know it. Part of the cast is the guwapong pulis in Maximo Oliveros. I'm watching this movie!

And now it's my bedtime already -- almost 10pm on my pc's clock. But I can't sleep yet, I have to see who's the winning pair in Lucy's Shall We Dance.

Another 5 day round ahead!

Saturday with Maki and the Flowers at Dangwa

Dodan and I were supposed to have spent lunch with RM in Glorietta. Her boyfriend, JP, from the US came and she wanted him to meet us. But it did not push through because JP's uncle and cousin are joining them. We met RM at Glorietta and introduced the two of us to JP. After the brief meeting, we hied to KFC at Landmark's food court for lunch. After lunch, we went upstairs to the toy section. Dodan is into collecting action figures, so 'toy' shopping/seeing is always in our agenda whenever we're in malls. He's actually shopping for his friend's (who shares the same passion for collecting action figures) request, an X-Men figure. Minutes after deciding, whether or not to buy, we left empty handed.

We got on a cab afterwards for Maki's birthday party at the Jollibee along Macapagal High Way. Below are the party pics.

The party was finished at 3PM. We went back to Glorietta and Dodan finally bought the X-Men figure. We roamed and roamed until our feet got tired. Dodan wanted to watch V for Vendetta, but I'm not in the mood for movies. I told him I want to see Dangwa. And like that of our zoo escapade, we dashed without even thinking. We caught the first available cab and instructed the driver to take us to Dangwa. The two of us don't actually know how to get there, we only know that Dangwa is near UST. Good thing the driver was kind enough to take us directly without going multiple rounds just to inflate the meter.

As we got down, we were greeted by merchants who fervently offered their flowers and other flowery services.

"flowers po, para san po ba? sa patay, sa buhay, sa kasal?"

While we politely declined to most, we were not able to escape some. One of the seller who approached us has a photo album in hand already. So, we surrendered. I leafed through the album and asked for... uumm.. the price of a bride's bouquet -- I don't know what else to ask.

"kelan po ba ang kasal"

I wanted to reply "not in ten years, manong!" But I held back. I don't want to get thrown away, not when I'm wearing a dainty white skirt.

At least we learned that flowers are cheaper on rainy season. And obviously, prices go up in the months of December, June and Febrauary. Dangwa is known as the Divisoria of flowers. Flowers are sold way cheaper. For a comparison, a bouqet sold for 300 pesos on other places are sold for only 100 pesos.

The sun was already going down and I still haven't got my camera out of the bag. I was hesitant, the sellers might drive us away. We went to a store that sells the most number of mums. Mums are better to shoot, they're more colorful. Dodan bought me a bouquet, so I could shoot around freely. I asked permission from the seller first and after she hastily agreed, I began shooting.
