monday trailing with dodan at quiapo, looking for a good but cheap spectacles. come lunch time, we searched for the good but cheap chinese resto. was supposed to eat at 'delicious' in ongpin as endorsed by the sales lady from the optical shop. but when we got inside, i was turned off by the absence of air conditioners, bad lighting, beer drinking manongs scattered inside. so we settled for an airconditioned chinese resto at lipot kim hiong food garden. food was good, but not really *cheap. we ordered yang chow, fried noodles, sizzling beef in lemon sauce (not the real name in the menu, but sounds like this anyway), mango juice and coke. i ordered fried shrimp wanton but cancelled it when the waitress told me that it has pork in it.
after getting out, we heard some men looking for 'delicious'. maybe on my next trip to quiapo, i'd visit the resto. will just bring the flash for the food shots.
*when i say cheap, i mean having a full and satisfying meal with drinks included under 100 pesos.
