Leaving Boston
My 3 month stint in the US has finally ended. I am going home!
Ian and I are travelling along, since Wil had already left a week ago to visit his cousins somewhere in Oregon. Ding drove us to the airport at around 4:30am, our flight is at 7:30am. At the baggage check-in counter, I panicked when I was told that my baggage had exceeded. I was about to leave the choloates behind (all 10 Kilos) when Ian offered to carry those for me. Bait bait naman.
While waiting for boarding, I saw a father and child tightly hugging each other, both of them in all tears. I suddenly remembered my sad parting with my sister, I never hugged her that way, for she might see me cry. It was like I was parting with her again, I was going back home, thousand miles away.. and I was leaving her behind.
My carry-on baggages. Ian and I was the last one to board the plane since he bought us coffee for breakfast. No liquids are aloud inside the plane, so I gulped all I can before taking off.
I was lucky to have a window seat on our flight to LA.
Our connecting flights, from LA to Manila, took 10 hours in between. Hindi naman kami pwedeng magtitigan na lang ni Ian for that long. So I asked Ed and Francis, our Pinoy officemates who are staying in Trend's LA office, to tour us around the city.

Our lunch at In-N-Out Burger.

"Papa Ed, bakit hindi mo ko hinintay??" Yeah, I really said it, to his face! Hehehe. Crush ko kasi si Ed during my early years in Trend, cute cute kasi, boyish, at mukhang harmless. Anyway, hands off na ko sa kanya, he recently got married. Awwww...
After a leisurely walk, Ed and Francis took us to Trend's office in Pasadena. The office is smaller than the one we have in Libis. CEOs lang kasi pala yung nandun.
The employees in the Pasadena office enjoy gallons of ice creams every Friday. I wish we also have that in Libis.

Our last stop was at Ed and Francis' appartment. While there, we watched an episode of Jewel in the Place and freshened up for our flight back home.

Jaimie Angelique's Baptism
Days before the baptism, I received several calls from Owsi, making sure that I'd come ON TIME, since I am one of the Ninangs. Quick backtrack: I was one of the secondary sponsors on her wedding, I wasn't able to make it in the wedding march since I came 10 mins too late. Forgiven, yes, but not forgotten.
So there, learning from my past mistake, I arrived at the church an hour early.

Batangas
Tatay wanted to visit his plants, trees and veggies and several manoks in his home town, Tanauan, Batangas. So he asked Nanay (the family driver) to take him there. Since I was free that day, I came along.
Since Nanay and I could just not stay put withstanding the heat and the smell of the farm (yeah, maarte talaga kaming mag-nanay), we hied to the next town, which is Lipa.
We went to the Mount Carmel to hear mass first. While on our way, we noticed how clean the streets of Lipa are. No trash, scraps and litters, could be compared like the ones in Marikina. Later, we learned that the penalty for littering the streets is strictly implemented. 300 pesos if you get caught.
