Afternoons at work can really be dreary, and it's more torturing if you're sleepy (lack of sleep due to sam soon and jang geum) and bored but at the same time catching up for work. You get the feeling? You have tons of work loads, reaching past your neck, but your eyes are won't cooperate, it droops heavily, as if being pulled down by devils mischievously hanging on your eye lashes. Then you hear your body shouting for sleep, and at the same time, deadlines and quotas shouting equally when you face your monitor. So what do you do next? You can't just doze off in your desk, can you? You open your internet browser and go surfing. But the Excel sheet (or any other application related to work) should also be active in your task bar, should the boss come in - just push alt and tab to change the display. You check who are online on you YM list, you pop some, chit chat for a while, get the latest chismis. Alternately, you browse and browse, you go to the renowned fwendly friendster - check if your crush is already single, the news site, bloggies of your friends and enemies, entertainment and gossip pages - both local and foreign. You do this until your eyes once again feel droopy. The next thing would be getting up and going to the pantry. You're not thirsty at all but you still reached for water. Sip a little, look over the window, look down from 20++ floors above. Get a view of the cars running fast, running slow along Libis, the bars along that are still closed, the massive houses on White Planes. Then you go day dreaming, wishing you own a house in that area, with battalion of household helpers waiting, with the latest gadgets and gizmos, three or more cars in the garage, Then you snap out of it, but you still don't want to return to your work. You walk to the ladies room, stare at the mirror, and leave. Now you're back you to your work station, you forcibly drag your mind and fingers to the keyboard to finish the task. Alternately, you take a glance at the clock to see if it's already time to go. Thirty minutes before your leaving time, you prepare your bag, clear up your desk, pat some powder on you face, dab a lip gloss on you lips. Take a glance at the clock again and for all you know, it's time to leave already!
