changed my bloggy's template. i still have the ubo-sipon combo, and it refuses to leave! that's why for today, i'm staying home, resting.

yesterday, tatay and i took nanay to the airport. tatay woke me up at 4am, but got up 20 minutes after. her flight is at 8am, so we need to be in the airport by 6am or earlier. we left at 5:30 since nanay had to pack several items before finally sealing her balikbayan box. i could see tatay's face reddening, mumbling "dapat kase huwebes pa lang, naka-impake na! dyan kayo magaling, ura-urada.. blah blah blah". nanay and i, we just love last-minute arrangements! to add to that, she only bought her turtle necks the night before. nanay had 5 baggages, 3 of which are hand carried. more than half of the balikbayan box contains pasalubongs, jaene's books, medicines and shoes. you see, jaene and lola packed on the 11th hour, too, thus leaving some clothes and other important things.

we were provided with a car and a driver, courtesy of one of tatay's clients. we reached the airport at minutes past 6am. tatay and i were able to accompany nanay until the boarding area (again, thanks to our tita's passes). this time, we parted happily, for i know that she'll be back in 3 weeks time. it still breaks my heart whenever i think of how i saw jaene boarding the plane.

so why is nanay going to US, you may ask? she has only one objective. that is; to make sure that lola gets home safe and sound. you see, lola and jaene, on their connecting flight from minneapolis to missouri, got left by the plane. their baggages were the first to set foot in missouri, they arrived 5 hours later. nanay is worried, since lola will be traveling by herself, that lola might get lost on her way. so there, for everyone's peace of mind, nanay is coming to the rescue!

i'm hoping for a balikbayan box full of chocolates, perfumes and other imported goodies in three weeks!
