a tale of two men

This is a true story, names have been change for my protection.

Story #1. Guy1
It all started with a teenage-like-crush thing. Guy1 saw filthy-rich-girl, got infatuated, and pursued filthy-rich-girl from then on. The efforts of Guy1 in wooing filthy-rich-girl was really that tremendous, he's gone out of his way just to have her sweet 'yes'. He's with filthy-rich-girl whenever, wherever. Brings her roses every now and then. A box full of chocolates at filthy-rich-girl's desk everyday. Staying up late with filthy-rich-girl if she has to finish work. Guy1 sticked with filthy-rich-girl like a bubble gum stuck to hair strands. Until filthy-rich-girl, whom have been overwhelmed by Guy1's efforts, let out her sweet sweet 'yes'. Their relationship didn't last that long (I'm not writing the reason of their break-up here). From the time they broke up, just a week or two after, someone (another chismosa like me, perhaps) saw Guy1 holding hands with another girl. I was very surprised when I heard it, because I've seen Guy1's back-breaking efforts when he was still pursuing filthy-rich-girl. I never thought he'll be leaving everything behind that easily. And knowing that filthy-rich-girl is still hurting. How could he have done that?

Story #2. Guy2
Guy2 has had a long time girlfriend, 5 years or more. After going steady for that long, the girl left him for another man. He still continued loving her despite that and still tried to pursue her back for so many times to no avail. The girl got pregnant, but his love did not even falter a bit. Until the girl gave birth, and the man she chose over Guy2 left her. Guy2 tried to win her back again, and again to no avail. The chase continued for years. Until a time came when Guy2 got tired of the vicious cycle, he decided to stop his attempts. If Guy2 still loves the girl, no one knows.

Here are two different stories from two extremely different men. I once thought that all men are like Guy1, insensitive, self-centered, heartless... until I learned of Guy2's story.
